One of the things only people with common sense and self respect understands is to be punctual. Punctuality means either arriving on the dot or earlier. When an irresponsible jerk is late, nothing can expiate the other party's time wasted on waiting. But what's worse than giving multiple extemporaneous excuses?

"The good thing about meeting Malay friends is that you can be 45 minutes late"

It is not just the stereotype, it's the disrespect that is attached to an individual with the misconception that a general bunch posses. Plus, knowing that the individual has always respected people's time. Maybe the heart will be more forgiving if the Punctual didn't tell the Irresponsible that the former needed to break fast at home.
