There's always something new to look forward to be it revision, movie, knowledge or a deeper understanding of my books. Life has set up the best pathways for all of us, so hang in there readers! I realise that I shouldn't be too harsh on myself. That is why I have longer rest time from mugging. After enough practice, I'll no longer drown myself with integration or concept-based revision at home. It doesn't work for me. Well, with a hardworking but competitive mindset society, some students are determined to do whatever they can to achieve the top 10%- even if it means putting others down. Wouldn't it be amazing if school could cover all our doubts and curiosity about the world? They tried though- feeding us with inspiring stories, motivational lectures, filial piety, instill moral values, sexual ed talks. They basically covered almost everything common for youth. But what about our other doubts? Do teachers have answers to our problems? Is there even a problem at first? What about those who have strained family ties? What about those who are afraid? Why do we fear and worry about the future when there's no positives out of doing so? Why do we still do bad things when we are aware of its harms? Are our feelings normal? Is there a correct number of times a person should or should not cry? Where do we go to? Who can we trust? There's so much unexplained mysteries that I long to find out, but somethings are meant to be left untouched and unrevealed. To me, a day without something new, is a wasted day. This is why I enjoy school, learning. 5/7 unwasted. Everytime I enter math class, I'd have to face the phrase "a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor". It seems that these decorations actually helps. back to top? |

Tuesday, August 20, 2013 @ 12:21 AMNDP/RHD
Similar to last year, our batch had to come up with a cheer for a mini inter-graduating-class competition. 4E2 decided to add in parts of this year's national day song, attempting to make it more creative. With a lot of leaders and suggestions, we combined everyone's ideas and made it one. Those last minute props were created with what we had in the class cupboard. Discussing on performances compared to designing kites and posters is definitely a better activity. What's new this year? It's my first time witnessing a school ndp as an audience! When the GOH marched in, I recalled the moments before my previous ndp at the floating platform. I miss that feeling. For the celebration in the hall afterwards, the graduating cohort was invited up on stage to have a sing-along. Red. Previously, we had to send representatives for racial harmony celebration. 4E2 was so enthusiastic and a lot of my classmates contributed to the plans. 2 classmates had to catwalk. And us being cheesy us, there was a story behind the catwalk. Princess clarabelle was peacefully walking when a group of rebels decided to disturb her. BOOM! Ninja junpeng came to the rescue and protected her with his weaponry. Throughout, he had his mask on. Until they reached the stage, he would reveal himself and the princess would finally see his bare face. Turquoise. back to top? |

Saturday, August 17, 2013 @ 9:40 PMHari Raya 2013.
![]() Hari Raya; the only festival that I’d never miss. Even if I have any upcoming examination, truckloads of homework or is just not in the mood that year, I will beg my mum to go to my cousin’s place as fast as possible. For the entire fasting month (Ramadhan), I did not have the chance to do our annual shopping for baju kurung. So for the whole of day 1, we became completely high from all the coke and fnn. Farhan faris fazli were our photographers for the day and they got exhausted so quickly. It’s amazing how we can gobble down all the kuehs even after we declared “bloated”. Too much fizzy drinks= an hour of rest. Well, I survived the day with everyone teasing each other on how fat we're are gonna be in the near future. Actually, we were looking out for families with a “Red and white” colour theme but didn’t spot any. And, I finally got to see Ali after 2 years and he didn’t recognise me *applause*. I am so comfortable with them and would not have to worry about anyone making judgements on me. Oh what positive influences we are towards the younger cousins. They will grow up beautiful because we sorta have similar genes. hahahahahaha. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -8 August 2013 Labels: Everyone was so enthu, Heels hurt :') back to top? |
