Oil.

"Atleast i have useful natural resources that you will need and beg when you run out" was my response when they called me Kuwait. In social studies class, we were learning about the Iraq-Kuwait war and because it involved a large amount of oil, my face was the figure of Kuwait. It continued for a year of noises and actions of lubricant application. Id always be proud for a quick comeback and the audience around us would cheer "ohhhh burnnnnn!" thus they would repond "cos you have the fuel mah". I dont remember alot of memories from secondary school but this nickname was repeated too often that it was part of my daily conversations.

This wasn't documented in my diary nor blogs and I have no clue why. Such innocent jokes were very common, even at this age. Because what other things could we have possible talked about as kids? We indulged in lame arguments that we thought were harmless at the time to keep our days filled with noise and laughter.

I've noticed that even if I'm okay with it, it don't mean others are okay with having funny-temporary titles on them.

Why didn't I care at that point in time?

Different lens

Unfortunate bodies who are given the inconvenient life challenge of myopia have to check their eye health once in awhile. There will be the process of getting new spectacle lenses, adjustment of contact lens degrees but also unnecessarily, design of spectacles frame and contact lens colours. All these fixes are either for pleasing your eyes aesthetically or literally.
I too, go through the change in lens, figuratively.

This semester break, I'm getting my third pair of glasses. No new activities, same interests, familiar faces, just with my new set of eyes. It is incredible, how when you lay back, start observing conversations instead of contributing ideas and views, and watch where it leads and how it is concluded. No longer do I have that strong urge to resist against an idea that I do not believe in.

Especially when you are in an area where signal and data are hard to detect, it forces us to entertain each other without prank videos and snapchat. It is amazing, I love it.

Strangely conceived notions

This is reality.

Are friends who instantly believe and engage in conjecture about you, really friends? Will they sit down and ask you about your feelings, update you about what's going around and hear your side of the window? If you walked in on two friends in a room with one of them lying on the bed, it isnt such a wild assumption that they were fooling around. But what is the next step, what actions do you take? What if you were the one who was taking a nap after days of overwork? There are first-hand friends out there who will respect you by finding out the truth, there are friends who will not talk to you because of the belief of you sinning from adultery and there are friends who will tell, what he or she believes, is only two people. The second hand group of listeners may have the story at an apple falling beside a banana, but remembered and encrypt it in their minds as an apple peeling a banana. Ofcourse, almost every human wants to believe themselves as a good soul, grounded by values like kindness for others. And that's the reason why homo sapiens are drunk by the idea of doing less of an evil means doing good. "I didn't spread nasty gossip about another, I'm protecting the gossipee from befriending a lying slut. Infact, It is just two people" This brings me to the third person rumour receiver. Because the scenario by then is already at the extreme extent, it is only obligatory to investigate the pre and post case because a delicate brain has not been completely utilized. We are an intellectual, meticulous, logical and analytical society that focuses on a major organ protected by our skulls that is widely forgotten is run by oxygen, that is delivered with the function of the heart. "oh my! He just broke up with his ex-girlfriend therefore he is obviously using her as a rebound!" We arrive at the last group that closes the rusty chain, the Promise Breaker. There will be that friend that believes that is an act of caring, has heard about everything and nudges you silently to give you all that she is carrying. Words from all directions are laid on the table. Without waiting for another side of the window, she flees as the words of others has become her truth and it is too much disgrace to continue pursuing a friendship.

As long as it don't involve nor hurt me, why not?
