Monday, December 29, 2014 @ 11:15 PMtank with the chiggas, angmoh, pinoy
This is my first dinner on 25th of December out with a bunch of friends and it was an enjoyable night indeed. I tried to capture everything before 2am in this video but I was caught up either with the cup/ball games, the snapchat war, video games, twister, continuous eating from 6pm to 6am. There were so much food that even when our tanks were full, consumption did not stop. Although Christmas commonly comes together with pork or turkey, everything was double confirmed halal with the specific stamp (except for one thing which I didn't touch). And I am the only Muslim but they still invited me awww. Gifts exchange was nice too, it has been awhile. Things I learnt? Climbing improves your flexibility thus you will perform better and sustain longer on the mat than before climbing. The team climbers attained the top 3 positions HURAYYY! Having stronger arms does not mean you are faster in handling cups. However, having stronger arms means you can pick friends up when they fall too right? HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA OK GOODBYE. Wednesday, December 24, 2014 @ 3:37 AMSelf project- video vs writing
As I technically have less than a week to myself after common test and before school reopens, I have a new self project! Its about sharing each day through a video instead of blogging or micro blogging. The clips were selected and I didn't include all activities of the day. And it's #day2 and its going as planned. What plan? The plan is to capture moments we always wished we could relive. The similarity of writing and videoing is that we record activities that will be a memory that we can never rewind but it gives us evidence of the past. Writing is cool because it is from our point of view and we can interpret and create our own story plus feelings. Videoing is an actual clip of the people, location, activity- things that we might not have remembered initially but once it is replayed 10 years later, you get so much visual and hearing aid. So for this week, let the videos talk. |

Monday, December 15, 2014 @ 4:07 PMPriorities?
While everyone is starting to enjoy that 3 weeks freedom, my "holidays" includes exams but that's not the big deal because life is unfair to all, that's why its fair.
You may skip to next photo haha.
There is a huge change, considering there were small changes along the way, in my seriousness in studying. Of course I can differentiate being hungry for knowledge and memorizing definitions & steps to garner customers loyalty. What's the point of straining your brain for words when it will be harder to vomit it out?
I might not completely understand the background work and planning's involvement of the grading system but part of me is hoping that it's not because "it is easier to give an accurate grade". We have presentations but they are only 50% of the 15% overall grade. That is why I observe some students not willing to give up time to actually conduct "mystery shopping" activities and lie through their shopper's experience because who can be bothered doing 3hours pre-execution and real reflections? We give answers that get us the highest grade.
What we have been learning will help us climb up the highly demanded corporate ladder but exam papers are too hefty that the little projects are less important.
Maybe it's only for my course because my friends have the coolest way of getting their POA grade!
Capture It Bazaar by BZSE students
There were over 10 independent tables where students could sell any-legal-thing they want. From table cloths to flavouring of macaroons to lucky picks to photo booths, whatever transactions made were recorded and they had actual receipts which I personally found pretty cool. Their whole process including before and after sales would be recorded in the general journal. While they plan, set up and execute, what have I been doing? POA exam papers ha ha ha. *Please be worth it*
Although I went there to support two friends, I ended up buying double of what I had intended to. My babe Shazlina had used her ever-so-known-for talent that she uses to her advantage for gifts. Baking! And she has been progressing in terms of quantity, variety and creativity. She is a friend I truly admire because she is committed in doing what she deeply loves and she doesn't consider it as "work". Her part-time job might not pay her fairly according to her skills but she doesn't lament about it.
And I now have more treats to accompany me in my preparation for tomorrow's exam (which I have not started honestly). Sharing my day at the market -any place that involves a seller of a certain good or service and a buyer that has potential transaction to take place with buyers having something to offer- are obviously more important than memorizing more definitions. Hey at least I've cleared one definition out of a textbook which will be extremely useful for....... my exam grade. Adios online non-existent friends. Labels: be patient., I doakan YOU SAYANGS, I promised cooter i'd post this, I still believe back to top? |

Wednesday, December 10, 2014 @ 10:23 PMBad habit
Once I have reached my nutshell after a day in school, I just nap for 2 hours minimum and my ears are mute temporary until my brain and body gets enough rest. Each time, I sleep through my alarms, miss calls and doorbells. Is this some sort of disease? I used to be stronger and survived longer working hours such as school>work>homework. Is it the lack of exercise? Get tougher, girl.

@ 1:20 AMChuffed
I was scrolling through 7000 photos in hopes to find one which would fit this post and I found this screenshot from last year. 22 Things that annoy me alittle inside: 1) Fans and winds that goes opposite my hair direction which gets all over my face. 2) People who don't return money. Its not the case of forgetting because I have reminded thrice; is this normal? 3) My apple USB that doesn't fit into my dell laptop. And I can't charge my phone without holding it in a certain angle. 4) My pictures wouldn't sync into laptop and when I copy and paste them, it wouldn't read. So I gotta use google+. 5) Android version of blogger app doesn't allow you to upload photos. 6) Microeconomics after POA. There's so many shortforms used I get them mixed up and end up confused. 7) When people's collars (that are meant to be ironed) are flat on their chest. (maybe its fashion but wutt?) 8) When my socks are not tight thus while I'm walking, it creeps out of my heel. 9) Missing calculators, pens, pencils, erasers, correction tape. ONE atleast will be missing. ALWAYS. 10) When it's so hard to comb my hair when it's wet so I end up going to school with that. 11) Spilling curry sauce in my bag(s). It's the third time already! 12) When people have no respect for another person. I won't remain silent when it gets too much thus I get told off "none of your business" but I do it anyways. 13) Lecture Halls are freezing cold and we can't adjust the temperature. 14) When your friends want to go swimming at the wrong timing. 15) When my soft boiled egg turns out hard-boiled. And when I changed it, it's the same outcome. PLUS WHEN MY FRIENDS BOUGHT IT ONE SECOND AFTER ME, THEIRS WERE PERFECT?! 16) Untied shoelaces and I'm too lazy to bend down. 17) Having heavy eyelids or being restless during important lectures. Complete extremes. 18) When people think its ok to slam my phone on the table 19) Having a runny-nose and running-out of tissues. Geddit ha ha ha ha hilarious. 20) When I just perfected three piles of clothes and one apathetic person pulls out the lowest item and everything tumbles, to the floor. 21) When I injure myself quite badly and noone has first aid knowledge. 22) Daydream for more than 20 minutes. Happy 22 days to 2015 and I can't really remember what I've done this year but I can say, it's one of my best years. |

Tuesday, December 9, 2014 @ 12:14 AMLists- 23 days to 2015
Making lists, its what Asians do. 23 things cause 23 days to 2015. List of random/normal things about Suzana: 1) Skinny straight fries > Fat wiggly ones. 2) Thinks I can study just by reading powerpoint slides. 3) Snacks unconsciously. I have sweets, biscuits in bags that I use for over a week. 4) After effect: snack wrappers can stock in my bag for a week. 5) I have a problem of forgetting to drink after a meal. 6) I have lost my ezlink over 5 times. They just disappeared? 7) Waterproof phone waterproof earpiece waterproof camera waterproof bag so I can be cool under the rain. 8) The shoe rack at home is for display. No one actually arranges their shoes until a guest is coming. 9) Thus, don't ever ever ever come to my house without informing a week earlier. I need to clean it to portray myself as a civilized human. 10) I get really amused over magic tricks (and tell me how its done after that because I would think about it for a long time) 11) I like pop-out stickers. On cards, phones, letters, study desk. 12) When my battery is 1% I don't really have that sudden panic attack to charge it anymore. It dies so I let it die until I am near the power socket. 13) I don't have to energy to travel to places I love anymore. 14) I usually forget the storyline of a book once I moved on to the next two. 15) I keep spoiling my earpiece by pulling it or sleeping on it I don't really know how. 16) I have been napping for minimum of 3 hours accumulated in a day. 17) I find it extremely tiring to socialize with more than 3 people. 18) I enjoy writing and taking random candid pictures. 19) I am able to not plan my presentation yet speak confidently. (don't do it Suzana) 20) I do not enjoy participating in debates though. 21) My 2014 aim was to bake and cook. What kind of aim is that? lol. 22) I do jump-shots because when I look back at the photo, I am able to bring myself to that moment of adrenaline. 23) I have 8 blogs haha goodluck searching Ladies and Gentlemen. ps; "studying" Labels: distraction, Stress, study, You think you do but you have no idea. back to top? |
