Wednesday, February 27, 2013 @ 11:28 PMMy not so fulfilling results
Different reactions after receiving tests results? Well did you..
Know the topic well and had revised slightly.
Know the topic well and was confident of an A.
Study just enough expecting a pass.
Study on the bus/canteen a few hours before the test.
Flip through the notes expecting to at least get 1/4 right.
Not understand the chapter but refuse to consult a teacher.
Not understand but consulted a teacher a day before.
Memorize because you can’t seem to get it.
Planned on leaving the paper empty.
Skip school just to escape the test.
Your reactions after receiving is obvious. It really depends on how hard you have worked for it.
But seriously, I failed amath focus test. *Waits for the lecture*
Not only have I flunked that test, I really did horribly for history. I GOT THT DAMN POINTS MIXED UP. Giving excuses are common things students do when they know they deserve it.

Monday, February 25, 2013 @ 2:31 AMDart Base Visit (16 February 2013)
Firstly, that’s a BA set I’m carrying! Don’t you underestimate this muscular girl.I’ve been to the furnace, HTA, CDA, a few fires stations, and finally Dart Base! Awe at this inspiring team of people I know existed on paper but never bothered to research to find out more. In sec 2, I was studying about this Disaster Assistance Rescue Team (DART) for a competition and had memorized the details but did not understand. They are trained to do complex rescue missions not only in Singapore! They are also obviously under SCDF therefore that makes me proud somehow, haha. DART is known worldwide and regarded as one of the best urban search and rescue teams IN THE WORLD. I just had to emphasize. So if your mind is so small and limited as you assume that SCDF do not have anything to do, your choice lah. But if I had captured your interest, do google DART and watch their videos and you might aspire to be like them as well! Here’s one of the videos of it’s training/ challenge/ selection. ps; fortunate that we have friends from boon lay sec who came with transport. We ‘tompang’ on their humongous bus which could fit 40 students but occupied only 10 seats. Labels: Everyone was so enthu, Fun, motivation, My bag was effing huge., ncdcc back to top? |

Saturday, February 23, 2013 @ 2:01 AMTo smell good or look good?
Finally got a chance to show off my dress, “Ao dai” which I bought at Saigon not long ago. That’s me trying to pull off the Vietnam traditional wear. Obviously can’t. ![]() As you can see from the model photo I found on google, there’s a tiny hole revealing your skin at your side stomach (aka most people’s weakest link). Well, I got tickled almost the entire day hence I got too beat running around in my not-so-high heels. If I didn’t added height, I might as well sweep and mob the areas I passed. Kakak Shahirah’s wedding. And me with my dust collecting camera, I finally remembered to take it out with me to an event. You see, before munching on briyani, ayam mask merak, kebab, this soup idk the name, cheese blueberry cake, kuih, ice ream, I ate Macdonalds for brunch. Zhi yao, and Syahindah were the only ones with me at chem class on a Saturday morning. As you can observe, the rest of my energy was spent at this wedding with gorgeous people. The rest of the photos are published on Facebook. ps; feel regret deep down that I did not accomplish anything related to studies the rest of the day. ![]() ![]() May all their positive wishes come true. I might not be a photogenic person but please just bear with my sour face. Other than the birthday cake, we partied with chips and Ms Wang bought for us my current favorite chocolate. I don’t know what its called but its like fireworks exploding in your mouth. Ate four meals today because I need to grow taller. Possible? ![]() ![]() |

Tuesday, February 19, 2013 @ 7:00 PMMonday came to soon
It’s literature and read fest week! Lit students had to present something- duh!And the topic we were given was to convince the school that Shakespeare had impacted our english. Btw, did you know that William Shakespeare had a daughter named Susanna? FUHHH thats me :P Oh, our Precision Drill Squad training just started today and I'm deeply thankful to whoever allowed PT Kit for our attire. Ok I forgot that we had a focus test on malay composition and had to rush to cca afterwards. I have a memory span of a silverfish. HAHA YOU KNOW WHY SILVERFISH? COS WE OWN THIS SILVERFISH IN THE CD ROOM & ONLY VISIT IT EVERYTIME WE REDECORATE THE ROOM. Labels: Everyone was so enthu, Makan, Umbrellas back to top? |

Friday, February 15, 2013 @ 4:09 AMTotal defence day @ Jwss
What I realise is that the programmes prepared are improving each year. They know how to get students involved and competitive but at the same time cheering instead of jeering. Basically, there was a cheering competition against each level. Our teacher hosts were imitating people and fei long was blushing. Sec four cheer: *beat of we will rock you* Jurong west unite, we will show our might Show them how the Jurong west fight Fight them in the sun Fight them in the rain Fight fight fight till we win this game We will we will rock you, AH, Rock you, AH (x2) I typed this purely on memory *pat on my back*. So other than that, every class was given 5 mahjong papers to decorate following the theme of the 5 of Total Defence. And guess which class got 1st place? 4E2! :D We were astounded and turned boisterous which unintentionally attracted attention. Ofcourse overjoyed as we expected another class to win. From there, we had class till 3.30pm followed by cca at exactly 3.30pm. No, it's not our fault, neither is it anyone's. Teehee KEVJUMBA posted new videos on his main channel and jumbafund. Friday, February 8, 2013 @ 12:10 AMClass time- Chinese New Year mini celebration
Fortunately, other than the already interesting activities instead of Solo Reflection, powerpoint presentation or NEQuiz, 4E2 had an amazing session of Prosperity Toss. If I’m not mistaken, they called it a lo hei? Basically, it’s a tradition where a set of raw ingredients inclusive of salmon, vegetables, nuts, crackers and sauce are tossed in the air. So when you are throwing the food in the air as high as you possible can, you are supposed to say out your entire year’s main wishes. So while I was tossing with my classmates, I was all like, “I toss veggies up in the air sometimes, Sayin’ HEYYOO STUDYY HARDDD LO” Afterwards, we were split into groups and was assigned to design for total defence day. A kind teacher landed Syahindah and I an umbrella yesterday. So I brought mine today and it didn’t rain. ps; of my four years in jwss, I just got to know that school closes at 6 instead of 7pm on special occasions. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 @ 10:01 PMOperation smile 3/2/13
This was the only photo that I got hold of.
My classmates were involved in the concert for charity (cleft) and they’ve put in so much effort for this event (to the extent that they did their homework on the bus ride home). Just on the side note, my bag pulling my shoulders down and I was freezing because of the aircon plus getting caught in the rain previously. While almost everyone got taller, I didn’t find it reasonable to fall in with heels on after kayaking. Popped up my plain ol’ sneaks with Zhi Yao. Didn’t eat outside as I had to rush home for some last minute revision for focus test on Monday.

Monday, February 4, 2013 @ 11:55 PMEndure, suzana
First period of the week was Physical Education and Mr Y would let us play games only after everyone had passed their NAPFA. Since I have completed the 5 stations, and my upper body is sore, why not I take a break from PE for a day? AND YOU KNOW WHAT, THERE’S A NEW PE TEACHER TODAY AND THEY PLAYED HANDBALL. I had a short nap in PE as the sound of the raindrops overlapped the shrieks of my classmates. Did you know listening to raindrops can actually be terapeutic? I was suffering in chem class, fighting with my eyes to stay awake as we were learning a new topic today. Math in the ava room? Perfect >:) Fuh, that pathetic person who purposely tells the whole world to hit my arms. FUH IM NOT AS STRONG AS YOU OK.Labels: distraction, My bag was effing huge., study, You think you do but you have no idea. back to top? |

Sunday, February 3, 2013 @ 1:31 PMKayaking Day 2!
Actually it’s monday as I had no time to blog yesterday. Well, Yassin and Shi Hao was down with fever and it’s best for them not to attend. Even so, SH insisted to cab to Kalang. So anyways, we met Hiroshi and can’t believe at how mature he is (sec 3 and CSM). You see, Zhi Yao met him during his SNCO course while Hiroshi and me were in the last year’s NDP contingent. So we’re finally reunited in Kayaking course. Heh, heavy rain and lightning risk alert for 9/10 of the course. Sore arms while carrying and emptying the kayaks. On the bright side, this meant that we could leave earlier and I could attend “Operation Smile” on time! Not only was I drenched with the rain, my humongous bag was soaked. Me, being a psychic, had predicted it would happen so I had zip locked all my stuff. *phew* The long train ride to woodlands was torturous but it helped dry up my soggy hair. Imagine how I looked like! ps; if you have not heard of operation smile, do visit their blog to find out more. back to top? |

Saturday, February 2, 2013 @ 2:23 AMKayaking!
It was a course for sec 2s but there were extra space, so Zhi Yao and I filled in the extras.
This time, not all the trainers were foreign to me. It was okay when Zhi Yao and I went with Yassin and Shi Hao but with everyone else being sec twos? Awkward, but none realised other than Micheal. First thing once we were in the water was not paddle or learn any techniques, but to capsize. That amazing feeling when your biceps are bulging :) hahah. That also amazing feeling when you endure longer than the rest hehehe okay not as good or confident as ZY but it’s OKAY.
What I preferred about this badge was that they split us into smaller groups from the start (groups of 7) which gave us more attention towards a participant. Speed and break, J-draw, classic draw, jam break, capsize method, back paddle, 360 turn and self rescue. SELF RESCUE DAMMIT :D
