Saturday, August 29, 2015 @ 11:59 PMI lied to my body
7 days ago, I promised myself that I would repay the hours of sleep I sacrificed because my eye was twitching for 5 days straight.
Nope.
Lies.
1 day after my last paper and I'm going for new classes from 8.30am-7.30pm. :) My nose was running, the attacking sun added numbers on to my fever, my windpipe was begging my fingers to reach in and scratch and my eyes were obviously tired from last night's movie (hey, I had to celebrate end of stress zone too). Theory lesson at 8.30 was amazing, I enjoyed it so much.
Nope, it's not car drivers license cause I ain't 18 YET.

She was either muslim or not. My legs tried to delay movement while my eyes were in search for a distraction. Her smile was an open gesture of greeting. Should I offer a Salam or not? What is the least possible way to make this situation awkward. Her husband stood beside her and I still could not identify if they were Muslims. I wasted so much time that she offered her hand. Bam, my mind was made up; she was muslim. As the back of her hand was midway to face, she resisted, she wasn't a Muslim!!!! Beneath the smile, my heart was pounding and heated with embarrassment. To cover my rudeness, I offered a handshake to her husband and my hand was in the left hanging for 3 seconds before I realised he didn't want to. I could forhear the mocking laughter of my cousins just behind me. And I had to endure engaging in small talk for the next 10 minutes.Labels: Awkward back to top? |

Saturday, August 22, 2015 @ 4:34 PMGrateful
I am grateful to be able to laugh, have a healthy body and mind, have enough curiosity and courage to keep me going. I am grateful to have time to do so much such as hours of YouTube and YouTube. Productivity is in my blood; thick and transferring oxygen throughout the rest of my body. I love watching videos from shorts from Wong Fu Productions to Is Singapore better than america to Wahlietv to anything under the sun. You can get so much advice, love, experience living through another culture's life and facing their problems and noting the similarities and differences. It's happiness. Yeah, it is not productive in terms of preparing for my finals (in the midst actually ahah) or taking action in saving the environment, but you need to learn first right?
What is the point of this post?
ps; its 3.30pm right now and I procrastinated for 22 hours.

Monday, August 17, 2015 @ 5:17 PMI chose happiness
"Finals in two days and I chose happiness" Yes, I am very proud of my video skills and quality of video (High Def WOOOO). This was shot for fun and memories before Nadira left for a year. There was too much food that I had to painstakingly select the 20% pretty ones. Since I like to make a list and write and record videos, I merged all of them and here it is. It's finally here. I'm still alive on the year I turn to that age where I have been waiting for my entire teenage life. Not to go club, buy a cigarette nor to just taste adulthood, I am finally allowed to take up drivers license in 2015 YAY!!!!!! However, I am a Virgo so that means everyone else gets to go through it first and it drives me crazily excited to get my hands on the wheel. But the true suzana wants to be in control of a ship like how she was with a kayak and a jetski equally as much as the strong friction on the hard ground. On the flipside, I get to listen on my friend's positive and not so positive experiences which both comes with automatic tips and learning points. Ps; latest YouTube struggle: WONG FU WEEKENDS. It's the end of the week, a wong fu week, it's a wong fu weekenddddddd! Saturday, August 15, 2015 @ 11:40 AMThat butt tho
When you want to have adventures with two different groups and your finals is nearing, you gotta choose one. Unless..... You introduce them to one another and everyone makes a new friend and I can spend time with both groups. Brilliant or brilliant? I have to say I'm impressed that these two bold ladies pushed themselves on the boulder gym and the rock wall. Finally I shared my love to more friends yessss.

Sunday, August 2, 2015 @ 1:45 AMShut up.
Bring me to places you've never been before, take me to places that is home to you. Let's adventure the world, our spirituality and each other. Let's go on life changing experiences and record them through the camera of the eye that fulfills the soul. Let the adrenaline and love come to life. Explore the sky, seas and mountains with our backpacks. Leave our fears and weakness and embrace our imperfections. Strive for extreme growth together and be one another's motivation. Let our love spread and encourage others to love and be kind. Be my imam and explore the meaning of the Quran everyday. Life is truly an adventure and it would be even more amazing to have someone to share it with.

Saturday, August 1, 2015 @ 11:13 PMIcamp 2015
I think I would never express my feelings enough if I did not write. We do have debrief sessions everyday, even after each training, or dance practice (yes we do), I mostly convey alot of feedback for others' and my improvement. This camp took 2 months of planning on my side and others were booking locations, food, admin, promoting the camp, choreographing our performance, creating camp cheers. And for my first camp ever in poly, I doubled the role of a committee (programme coordinator), game master and a group leader. I can't believe I survived it. This may come off as a conceit, but it's just me giving myself a pat on the back on my less-than-5-viewers blog haha. Purely no intention to boast.
It wasn't a sacrifice when I chose to go for meetings instead of my other cca because honestly, this cca is my priority. Meetings with group leaders, and committee afterwards; they end on average 10.45pm.
Designing the flag, identity, pre trial camp, trial camp, emailing, midnight calls for proposal submission, cancellation of activities. Our camp chief was struggling x3 with the stress. It didn't end there. There was still the camp and beautiful weather. And as a gl, a lot of my energy was drained from the night briefings.
I learnt too much to make a list from my roles and even from the campers. Never have I had the platform of meeting a bunch of adventure enthusiasts with cooking skills hehe. I experienced the "whatever decisions you make, it will never please anyone". I learnt to prioritize people over task very much.
And my challenge was my responsibility to give enough food, care and love for my bunnies back at the loft.
Mission accomplished.
