Haven't we all heard about how people with exceptional musical talent have a part of their brain evolving in a similar way? Incredible flexibility, brain!
As I observe self-driving vehicles sweep the road and the rise of humanoid robot publicity, I can't help feeling nervous. When two robots are able to communicate in a new language unique to them, they do not have the intention of taking away the power and control of the master. Well, they can't differentiate good from evil and have dominating personalities and ideas right? They don't have these natural animal instincts unless we inject it into their system.
The theory that I prefer to believe is that the experience of emotions come from the brain. Yet, its complexity lies within the innumerable amount of connections between instructions our brain transmit to the rest of our body. A simple task for us may take a long time (this is relative) to be programmed into a robot. We now see that AI can overcome a certain level of deep leaning and genetic algorithm.
If we keep simulations running and allow a robot to observe human behaviour, are we able to duplicate the cerebrum?
