SUZANA WHO?
Hi there little boys and girls, today we are gonna learn how to poison squirrels. But first, I’d like you to meet my friend Suzana ; Stranger |
Thursday, July 18, 2013 @ 10:45 PMWeekend off the books.
Im sure that most of the graduating students have cut down on their “fun time” just to rush to complete schoolwork or revision. With 4 tests per week, honestly I disallowed myself to leave home (other than to study) every weekend. But, sometimes we need to rest our brains from school and shift our attention to something else. Have you ever felt differently in foreign places? Overseas maybe. Well, we attended National Schools Literature Festival and were surrounded with Lit students and teachers. The energy level was so high eventhough we were fasting. The crowd were boisterous, conversations of books were heard everywhere. When I smile at random strangers, their response smile were genuine. I felt that every single individual there had something in common. There was this instant click where I was not be able to experience with non-lit students.
Even the lower secondary students were so enthusiastic in explaining to us on the games which were all realted to literature books. I finally got to meet and spend the time with the younger lit students of my school. I wish I was exposed to these events few years earlier just like them. Don't you find it fascinating how my best friend ended up having the same interest as me even 4 years later? I always assumed that one might “run out of things to say” to people who they have not met in a long while. I thought wrong. It seems that we can go on sharing our thoughts about anything until we had to return to our own schoolmates. During the last activity, lit quiz, we screamed “SUPERCALLIFRAGILISTICASPIALADOCIOUS” for one of the questions. Amanda is a friend that I can see in the long run.
Afterwards, I headed to break-fast with my cousins and got to snuggle with the fat felines! The food was satisfying, company was amazing and ofcourse, we have this tendency to explore things. Theres always something new to learn.
I met some pigs too :)
