Sunday, December 6, 2015 @ 1:56 AMPrank revenge
Three evil brains formed to plan a 10-step devious feline prank.Step 1: Talk about the growing number of stray cats Step 2: Get them to choose a canned cat food Step 3: Gavin to mix tuna and cat food on a plate Step 4: Prepare gopro Step 5: Serve Step 6: Talk about this "healthier version of tuna" Step 7: Suzana taste the real tuna that is easily identified Step 8: Record and watch them swallow Step 9: Control laughter & keep a straight face for the longest time Step 10: Bring in the cat food can And I got revenged. At Brandon's pizza party, they cooked maggie cos the pizzas weren't filling enough (LOLOLOL) and didn't let me cook. So as I was watching youtube videos, they offered me love letters wafer. I smelt it, suspicious, but still ate it- it was chocolate flavour omg how can i not? It was stuffed with cat food biscuits inside yay. I am a cat now. We are all cats. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 @ 4:58 PMWhen was the last time you did something crazy for the first time?
As I seek to try new things and test my limits in different situations, never had a 50km hike stopped by my mind. Equipment wise, I was well prepared. Mentally wise, I had came to a realization that this is the longest route that I will be taking since I could ever walk. There were harsher terrains, undesirable weathers and heavier loads on my back and waist. But this one, I didn't know if I could last above 40km. But I did. How can marathoners even run??I took the same amount of time walking the last 10kilometers as my first 25. Well, it seemed like the route was never going to end. My buddy was the best person to hike with, encouraging me through stories, endless jokes that I couldn't resist from aching my invisible abs and understanding my limits. With or without blasting music, we moved forward and never turned back (after all the effort). The pain in my breaking feet was so overwhelming that my knee wound was easily forgotten. Mind over body is real. It is amazing and your body will get double the next day. Saturday, November 14, 2015 @ 3:28 AMInjured in a physical competition
I had a dilemmaAnd a really huge one It was pain vs suzana It's about what I want Honestly I dont give a damn If we couldn't make it But everyone was ready and brought their cam I knew I couldn't let it slip You see, they require two females If not we'd be disqualified So I couldn't just bail My balls automatically solidified If I were to describe to you It's like pouring alcohol on a flesh and lighting a match It's not burning nor is it cool But the worst is having a patch The patch sticks like a glue Its required before I could wear number 4 So too bad boo hoo The pressure hurts to the core What is this pressure? Is it the pain of the exposed flesh? Or is it the disappointed faces of those who were so sure? We went through the sequence and planned to dash ( Yea, I was torturing myself with a bash) They look at me limp "are you okay?" Monday, June 1, 2015 @ 12:01 AMWe only have one body
The part where every excited soul is given only one body is driving me crazy. I separate these activities into different categories where I consider the following: Compulsory, Optional, Stress Relief, Education, Family, Friends, Self reward, Positive, Negative, Energy level. For example, ODAC vs Promotional ceremony vs Unit annual camp. ODAC is physical training and they needed helpers but Im not in the main committee so I'm not obliged to help all the time eventhough they are my friends; promotional ceremony is stress free as there is no preparation or much things to do and to reward myself for going to school and enduring; unit annual camp is annual hah and definitely stressful, education of juniors and friends. ODAC: compulsory, extremely high energy, stress relief. PC: compulsory, low energy, stress relief, self reward. UC: optional, extremely high energy, positive, education. = life is a hard decision and at times you have to make decisions, and I took up the CLT course so I have to do my "job" and commit to what I signed up for. Or you can run away by saying "I got no choice what", we all have choices. Thursday, May 14, 2015 @ 1:43 PMMore than 1
On every wake hour
The standard 6am alarm
To the bedtime of 1 am
Or two or three or four
Walk around my second home
Going for lectures
And that 1 heavy project
Or the role of two or three or four
You would have guessed
I signed up for more
Instead of having one cca
I had two or three or even four
In my nutshell I thought
I can have peace
But I get distracted for 1 hour
Or usually two or three or four
I feel the vibration on my phone
(And the vibration of my fear)
As I am unable to unlock it 1 attempt
Or two or three or four
I am helpless with no wifi/phone
Guilt I cant escape
For I have made 1 mistake
Or two or three or four
For something that happened to me
To get cheated and wasted my money
And my connections with people has finally shown me
That no one actually asked me why
I cant explain without a platform to communicate
No one
Nor two nor three nor four

Friday, April 24, 2015 @ 11:46 PMSilent pledge
I experienced listening with my eyes and talking with my
hands.
We started our silent pledge in school before we traveled around
Singapore. It was one of the most eye-opening days because literally, we walked
in the shoes of the hearing impaired. My first 5 minutes challenge was not the
ayam penyet- because I could point to the picture to order, but the lady who
took the order and said to her colleague in a mother tongue “got mouth but
cannot open to use”. I guess I would get her frustration as she might see it as
a form of disrespect, and I didn’t even try explaining cause I had no clue on
how I should start. I walked away. So I didn’t buy drinks because the words
were so high and small I couldn’t possibly point accurately. That was my first
10 minutes of silence.
I can truly empathize from watching videos without sound, trying to lip read to the stares we received on public transports. It felt like we were a walking anomaly amongst the talking.
My brain and hands coordinated the most today and it wasn't a blue day like CLEOPATRA's (our group name) colour.
I loved it. I love that silence does not limit us from talking about anything under the sun. I love that signing with a group in public does not make me feel any discomfort. I love that I fell in love with this beautiful language.
ps; I missed my heartbeat performance :( as it was the exact timing as NCDCC 10 Years Day Parade.
yes, its tiring rushing in and out of camp sacrificing a little of both, but this is Suzana being happy. Sunday, February 15, 2015 @ 7:47 PMI dream.
I dream to have a peaceful life surrounded with the people I love, seeking to discover, learn and venture the world. While we all need some kind of stability in our lives, I am waiting for the day money can take me to places around the world to explore both the complexity and simplicity of different cultures. Owning my own boat to pierce through clear seas of different shades of blue and use my arm strength to paddle in a humble kayak to safe and quiet islands. Currently, I am trapped in my country with commitments which disallows me to pull away from them easily. It is a choice I made for survival for a stable standard of living. I'll get through these years, and hopefully it will not be too long of a wait as Death is hiding and I will never know when I might stumble upon him. I dream to meet people from all walks of life, and I mean those who grew up in a completely different environment and I wish to befriend them, to know their story, to try to experience something completely new. I had a big dream to make a difference to the world and then a teacher snapped halfway by saying "I meant ambition, like your career". I did not know exactly what job I could live with the rest of my life but isn't the meaning of ambition a strong desire to do something? It is achievable in the smallest ways even back here at home. My Cinderella feet is taking tiny steps. I dream to enrich people's lives, to empower them to empower others. To spread the love around the globe, I have to handle the fact that love rays do not always bounce back. In fact, the rays might bounce to someone else, and that's all that it matters. :) Labels: be patient., I still believe, Inhale love Exhale hate., Life is a test, motivation, You think you do but you have no idea. back to top? |

Tuesday, December 9, 2014 @ 12:14 AMLists- 23 days to 2015
Making lists, its what Asians do. 23 things cause 23 days to 2015. List of random/normal things about Suzana: 1) Skinny straight fries > Fat wiggly ones. 2) Thinks I can study just by reading powerpoint slides. 3) Snacks unconsciously. I have sweets, biscuits in bags that I use for over a week. 4) After effect: snack wrappers can stock in my bag for a week. 5) I have a problem of forgetting to drink after a meal. 6) I have lost my ezlink over 5 times. They just disappeared? 7) Waterproof phone waterproof earpiece waterproof camera waterproof bag so I can be cool under the rain. 8) The shoe rack at home is for display. No one actually arranges their shoes until a guest is coming. 9) Thus, don't ever ever ever come to my house without informing a week earlier. I need to clean it to portray myself as a civilized human. 10) I get really amused over magic tricks (and tell me how its done after that because I would think about it for a long time) 11) I like pop-out stickers. On cards, phones, letters, study desk. 12) When my battery is 1% I don't really have that sudden panic attack to charge it anymore. It dies so I let it die until I am near the power socket. 13) I don't have to energy to travel to places I love anymore. 14) I usually forget the storyline of a book once I moved on to the next two. 15) I keep spoiling my earpiece by pulling it or sleeping on it I don't really know how. 16) I have been napping for minimum of 3 hours accumulated in a day. 17) I find it extremely tiring to socialize with more than 3 people. 18) I enjoy writing and taking random candid pictures. 19) I am able to not plan my presentation yet speak confidently. (don't do it Suzana) 20) I do not enjoy participating in debates though. 21) My 2014 aim was to bake and cook. What kind of aim is that? lol. 22) I do jump-shots because when I look back at the photo, I am able to bring myself to that moment of adrenaline. 23) I have 8 blogs haha goodluck searching Ladies and Gentlemen. ps; "studying" Labels: distraction, Stress, study, You think you do but you have no idea. back to top? |

Sunday, July 20, 2014 @ 1:40 AMUnpleasant
I've always thought that it was basic for human beings to feel empathy. I guess I'm wrong.Maybe you would see them give up a seat for an elderly, but was it sincere? Maybe they are the ones who has the largest network, but do they have at least one confidant? Maybe they are highly respected by their "followers", but are they over using this power? Power and respect has to be earned. On top of that, if you have good charisma and portray yourself as the one who takes care of everyone's well-being, it will be no cake to influence their minds and beliefs. And then comes the cunning side. The question is why? Am I the only one who can see their masks? Why do people believe and obey without having a mind of their own? Why is portraying others badly and succeeding in changing followers views satisfy them? The schadenfreude slanders. This is a general post not aimed towards anyone. However, if there are cases of unintended pain, it is my mistake and I apologize that the shoe fits. Labels: Inhale love Exhale hate., You think you do but you have no idea. back to top? |

Friday, June 7, 2013 @ 12:22 AMDreams are amazing
After days of thinking, these are two videos (both created and published by asapSCIENCE) that I chose to share her on my blog. If you cancelled the video halfway through, its obvious you have no interest about the most fascinating power of the brain. All my life I assumed that everyone have dreams and nightmares. But some confessed that they had never dreamt their whole ife. After doing some research, I was right all along- every single one of us dreams every night. It’s just that some don’t remember it. It’s amazing how we can experience anything and don’t have to face the consequences. Dreams can actually end up at two extremes. I might wake up curious towards the meaning and purpose of the scenes that I have experienced. However, I might also wake up thanking god that it was just a nightmare.
I like being the boss of myself. As the curious and daring one, I have experimented on WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream). I was sleep paralyzed but I wasn’t fearful as I was prepared for my body to react that way. As I couldn’t check for the time, I just laid frozen on my bed till I stopped talking to myself in the empty, dark but peaceful place. Well, I enjoy dealing with my own subconscious mind. One of my aims to do more frequently is to be able to control my thoughts in a dream. Have you ever been in the exact scene in your dream from a previous dream and was able to change the situation? I’ve always felt that the ability to that is deeply satisfying.
However, Im sure that Im not the only one who gets frustrated whenever I forget my dream that was clear in my mind just 10 seconds ago. Because I won’t be introduced to the MRI scanner (anytime soon), I decided to follow one of my friend’s advice to record it down. Yes, I shall wake up with a pen and my “book of dreams”. Now instead of asking your friends if they dreamt last night, try asking if they remembered and remind them to jot it down before it poofs to the back of their mind.
I believe that dreams are actually messages or signals for individuals. I’m not joking when I say dreams have guided me in my life someway or another. Sometimes I get visions in the day and I recently questioned myself “What if they were pieces from my dream?”. Though I like the idea of being psychic, people don’t believe it when I warn them or give them hints on what might be in store for them. I have to even control myself from shoving an “I TOLD YOU SO" in their face. Hahah that would be mean.
To me, some dreams are meant to be shared while the rest are for you to figure. Goodmornight dreamers :) Labels: I regretted so badly, interesting, You think you do but you have no idea. back to top? |

Wednesday, May 1, 2013 @ 9:05 PMAlive and caged.
We call it natural when chimpanzees use slender grass stalks as tools to harvest termites from a nest. We’ve seen displays of empathy, communication, corporation, intelligence in many documentaries and when you think about it, we are very similar. It’s not the big a leap. There is no excuse for harming those innocent creatures. Animals should be treated fairly and their feelings should be taken into account. Im sure many readers would agree but how far would you go to prevent animal abuse?
To start it off, you as an individual should treat animals with great care and compassion. Be a role model and you might influence others to do so as well. It warms my heart when I see random people feeding pondering stray cats at the void deck. Atleast there is hope in humanity.
There have been many unreported animal abuses as passersby neglect what they witness. If you see any suspicious acts such as puppies been kicked around like a football, don’t hesitate to call the Agri-food and Veteran Authority of Singapore (AVA). It has opened up a 24hour hotline to respond to urgent cases. Don’t worry, you would not be the only one. More than 9,500 cases of animal cruelty or related issues were reported just last year. It all starts with you.
There is also an event called the “Be Kind To Animals Week” which has been celebrated since 1915. Ofcourse you do not limit your gratitude to that particular week only. 5-18 May is the week where you become exceptionally kind to them. Just by spreading the information of this event, you can make a difference. Every small act towards creating a better world for animals matters.

Thursday, April 18, 2013 @ 4:53 PMNCDCC Day 2013 (12 April 2013)
Officially, this marks the last NCDCC DAY PARADE for me. It’s an honor to be in the Guard Of Honor (GOH Gold Unit) Contigent, once again. It was only possible
I’ve to a confession to make, I didn’t clip my collar. It’s was an obstacle! Jun Zhi and I were stretching our eyeballs out for Isa to have a trio-ASM photo for the last time. When with them, I instantly reflect on how unmotivated I am to do other things in life. Hahah as we live like an hour ride away (It’s considered far in Singapore), we don’t bother to meet up.
Hiroshiiiiii. This encik is a year faster than me as his school just started NCDCC and they used all the potential leaders. Yes, by observing just like that, I predict that his school would be lucky to have him. I didn’t get to snap with the rest like Alwany, Aaron.
OK so before you judge me, there are a majority of boys in NCDCC and all the girls that I know of are not here. But this one I have to say, is gayyyyy. He’s a thousand times hyper and energetic than me. If you find me talkative, oh you won’t survive with him. Ladies, if you’re looking for constant entertainment, here you go. HAHHA DAMN he was much smaller two years ago. I can’t seem to get hold of the photos we took but finally I’ve got one. balabalabalabala *does the finger shake thing*
Oh my ear-piercing lovelies. Not all was in as everyone was scattered, running against time.
The number ones featuring my ex ma’am. It’s weird how I still call her that when she no longer is the overall in charge. Beside me is my CLT Casey who was my senior in my lower sec days. Hmm, she’s back because she loves us, right? Anyway, it sucks every toilet break time/ changing time as Im like an awkward turtle.
Believe it or not, this is the Sir who trained me in my Senior-Non-Commisioner-Course (SNCO). He is shorter than me. It is a big deal even until now because he tries to bully everyone but he has to look up (literally) to them. Ahhh, I miss NEKRA.
This is my only photo with Zhi yao! He is secretly noisy but not chatty. Im not sure how to put it, but he is my savior for a lot of times I’m alone. hahhahah ok thanks ah suzy. He’s the only non-aqua in the group of aquas.
The best people who were carrying my stuff around, especially Selly. So they “choaped” the toilet and laid out my number 4 uniform. From head gear change to garters. They are the most patient. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t force them to do it. After marching out, we were only given 5 minutes to change for our Precision Drill Squad performance which had a really unexpected positive feedback from other school’s cadets’ tweets.
Jurong west cadets who attended (except for Darren and Kenneth) It was honestly torturous to get everyone together as we had our different contingents to attend to. So this was the closest.
My inspiring seniors who I looked up to since my first year. I address them as ma’ams now. Im surrounded by lovely people.
Birthday song before marching out of HQ.
Some came to support us, and we sort of neglected them. But yes, Im sure they enjoyed the PDS performance.
look at the standardized hentak kaki *very proud of all of them*
Ok from here, Im gonna try to control myself from blogging on NCDCC.

Monday, April 8, 2013 @ 11:35 PMHydrogen gas test
Firstly, I just can’t comprehend to why we had to fall in at exactly 3.30pm when focus test ends at the same time. Haha now that I come to think of it, I realize the teacher who was lecturing us on the importance of coming earlier for test had wasted our time. You see, we changed and reached class 5 minutes before 2.30pm which apparently wasn’t early enough.
![]() ![]()
Darren was the parade commander (he has been waiting forever). It’s his last chance to shine and Im truly proud of all of us who have gone through 4 years of running for the sirs favourite walls and trees. Being the IC of the NCDCC contingent, I turned to glance at my cadet mates for the last time in a squad. Before facing the front, Ainah and I pinky promised to not tear at all.
Our Passing Out Parade was held at the hall and I had to clench my fist damn tightly to control my emotions. During the two mini rehearsals, I constantly assured myself “It’s not the last time”.
Faizal, Ainah, Chye Yeun, Zhi Yao received awards for outstanding contributions and as they marched down one by one, I smiled widely to them, and they returned it proudly :)
Mr Gan gave his speech which was compressed in his version of "Hare and Turtle” story which made me reflect on my sec 2-3 days. Then a sudden flash of me whining to my mum on how lame uniform groups are when I was forced to put it as my first choice. No regrets, phew!
So finally, I took my last deep breath. and I shouted it, *left right left* “POP!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Yes, I was hesitant to throw my beret up in the air, afraid that I would not have the accuracy to catch my pride. I held in beret still on my head with both hands, it just didn’t want to come off, you know?
It wasn’t hard to differentiate my beret from the rest :) If you get it.
We were greeted by our children with hugs, cards, and huge posters. Yes, it was unexpected. If you thought they were sweet, you thought wrong. We walked ourselves into sticky flour and dots were all over me. I didn’t dare to open my eyes. Even my phone decided to swim in the sink. That really shattered my heart. I know it’s just a device that can be bought, but hello, please be considerate and at least save my phone. The cake was delicious :P I thanked them for all the efforts on the cards and collecting money because I was there last year and it was torturous. My SCLT behind was being cheeky but he taught me a lot in the short period of time he was in Jurong West. My cadets are lucky to have him from the moment they take over the unit. Ofcourse I took pictures with my friends from other cca. I didn’t get to use my phone camera much. *sigh* I even wasted my efforts in bringing my polaroid. *STANDING OVATION FOR SUZANA* Ps; this chiobu on my left who calls me “handsome” every time, really thinks he’s some hot stuff. hahah ![]() I wanted to finish this bottle of water as I needed space in my bag to fit in my full uniform. Mission accomplished. I didn’t check the time nor my phone (because it was missing) and my ideas were put to waste. Everything didn’t go according to MY PLAN. It wasn’t me who was supposed to be receiving the flour. One fine day, someone will do my job for me. HAHA.
Those heartfelt letters were adorable and funny and they can finally tease me. But what really snapped me was when a cadet came to me and asked innocently “ASM, when will you be coming back?”
This does not mark the end of my journey in NCDCC.
Hopefully, I’ll be back.

Have you ever unintentionally hurt someone before? Due to your innocence and your not-so-smart moment when you say/do something regrettable. I'm just some rebel girl who does nothing afterwards cause’ I don’t know what to do. How was I supposed to know he didn’t know? I can’t do my daily routines for three days properly as I feel that Im so rude and overly mean. If I apologized, it would be awkward. If I was in his shoes, I would feel embarrassed. Different reactions after receiving tests results? Well did you..
Know the topic well and had revised slightly.
Know the topic well and was confident of an A.
Study just enough expecting a pass.
Study on the bus/canteen a few hours before the test.
Flip through the notes expecting to at least get 1/4 right.
Not understand the chapter but refuse to consult a teacher.
Not understand but consulted a teacher a day before.
Memorize because you can’t seem to get it.
Planned on leaving the paper empty.
Skip school just to escape the test.
Your reactions after receiving is obvious. It really depends on how hard you have worked for it.
But seriously, I failed amath focus test. *Waits for the lecture*
Not only have I flunked that test, I really did horribly for history. I GOT THT DAMN POINTS MIXED UP. Giving excuses are common things students do when they know they deserve it.

Monday, February 4, 2013 @ 11:55 PMEndure, suzana
First period of the week was Physical Education and Mr Y would let us play games only after everyone had passed their NAPFA. Since I have completed the 5 stations, and my upper body is sore, why not I take a break from PE for a day? AND YOU KNOW WHAT, THERE’S A NEW PE TEACHER TODAY AND THEY PLAYED HANDBALL. I had a short nap in PE as the sound of the raindrops overlapped the shrieks of my classmates. Did you know listening to raindrops can actually be terapeutic? I was suffering in chem class, fighting with my eyes to stay awake as we were learning a new topic today. Math in the ava room? Saturday, January 26, 2013 @ 7:55 PMLife is a test
You know how when you get really pissed at someone and can’t control your emotions you say “I hope you die”. Please, take back your words because words came with a very strong feeling which turns into a wish or should I say a curse.
Recently 2 precious people just found out they were sick, as in really sick and it runs in the family. It’s so serious to a point that he has to go for (i can’t even say it). One of my friends just went for a small ‘fix’ and I finally understand why he has been missing sometimes. If I, just receiving the news already can’t handle it, how can they control the pain they feel? Plus keeping it from their friends!
Just 5 minutes ago I checked my twitter and got to know Ibrahim (this i can mention) lost his memory when he passed out halfway through a soccer match. GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH why do people over exert themselves. Maybe they didn’t know, but what I’d like my not-so-many readers to do is to take care of your health. Even if whatever sickness runs in the family, stay positive because life is a test. Test on how strong you are, and it’s all in the mind. Ibrahim, even if I’d only seen you for 10 days straight, Bambarayon will try our best to help you as much as we can. Doa is the best. Visiting two of them soon.
AND PLEASE TRY TO CONTROL YOUR SMOKING ADDICTION IF YOU DO.

Thursday, November 8, 2012 @ 3:13 AMRush maybe?
Darren and I were rushing to go to school with Coach Zhi Hao, Shelly, Rain and the bus driver. Thankful we reached SG an hour earlier than planned. I got jet lagged from the 8 hour train ride, well it was my second time (considering transport to pahang). Phew, we were just in time for our briefing. Andy waited for us at the gate and the three of us checked our names and got the t-shirt. Well the ice-breaking games was new.At the end of “New identity”, we had to reveal our friend’s identity (most of them didn’t know who it was). Damn Ming Shu trolled me and was laughing their butt off while I had to say “Hi, my name is Ming Shu. I like Tofu, sausages and a pair of fish balls” Dammit. Monday, November 5, 2012 @ 1:09 AMCamp at Pahang Tekam 4D3N
To tell you honestly, this camp made me reflect a lot on myself and how wrong things have been the past year. Leadership+ fun+ adventurous+ outdoor+ amazing camp. We abseiled a cave that we slept in. Cool or cool? Even when its not sizzling hot, the ground was foggy and we could literally feel the moist and witness the fog swaying around.
Experiencing night walk with no electronics, torchlights, proper equipment was amazing. Relied on one pathetically-lasting candle throughout. Since Ainah and I were the last pair, retook our own sweet time and enjoyed the view and pitch blackness. It was okay as there were 100 other species with us along the walk.
Hopefully when we gave our seats to the juniors and sat at the deserted road, they would be thankful that we’re so nice hahahahaha. A lot of salads (picked from the jungle) for us to taste. Man vs Wild.
First time in all the camps I have been through, I felt that it was meaningful (because I learned how to do a complete cup stack, haha kidding). Tons of photos to share but most of it is on Facebook.
Coach Zhi Hao was more than excellent.

I’ve grown with them since sec one. Gone through the trainings, courses, camps, tests, polishing, pumpings, scoldings, giggling, running, touching walls, parades, studying, more trainingss, competitions with my batch. Apparently, we never had games day. I will always remember the day i got my first lance corporal, which was way later than other UGs. We didn’t mind cause’ rank is just a piece of cloth. Now that we have advanced to become seniors, we try to be as kilat as our seniors.
My dream came true, to be in NDP :) Infact, tomorrow’s preview and I have yet to polish my boots :} Well, I just came back from crime prevention + school NDP training + buka puasa with them plus others.
BTW, hi stalkurrrrrrrrrrr.
