The past five days
Lack of proper meals = more junk food.
I throw my food up in the air sometimes, saying ayyyyyo catch with my mouth yoooo.
My nights at gekpoh/ learning corner/ library/ was often accompanied by patties, energy bars or those mini chocolates here and there. After napping for (supposedly 10 minutes) 2 hours on average, I continue my last-minute exam preparation at home just like every other student. My body reacts in a way that my hands would auto-snooze my alarm clock while I'm in dreamland. Every time I try to control myself from recharging my energy level, my time being awake wouldn't be as productive. So sleeping is good for you, studyholics/workaholics/game addicts out there.

They say lunch is the most important meal of the day if you striked out breakfast and dinner. So I’ve been skipping the most important meal of the day and repaying it with supper.

It hasn’t been as exciting as I thought it would. Animals need more love. Some of the arrogant cats seriously has some attitude problems, maybe because they are spoilt by other Singaporeans. On the other hand, I'm actually proud that the residents actually bother to take good care of stray cats.

Life of an Asian girl.

Wild&Young outing (14 April)
It's two weeks to exams, a Sunday meant for mugging especially for graduating students. We are serious, but sometimes we need a day off. Actually, I’ve been giving myself a few “day offs” which I will regret on the day before Mid year exams. This aint any ordinary outing, it’s for a good cause. Oh yes, my hair was mussed as I just couldn’t get up from my bed at 5am okay. The rainwater that was attacking us from above just got sharper as the time passed. Thankfully, the clouds cleared on time and we got into our positions before the race started. Windbreaker was my savior for the day.

I have influenced one with the Eight-pose.

Hydrogen gas test
Firstly, I just can’t comprehend to why we had to fall in at exactly 3.30pm when focus test ends at the same time. Haha now that I come to think of it, I realize the teacher who was lecturing us on the importance of coming earlier for test had wasted our time. You see, we changed and reached class 5 minutes before 2.30pm which apparently wasn’t early enough.

Darren was the parade commander (he has been waiting forever). It’s his last chance to shine and Im truly proud of all of us who have gone through 4 years of running for the sirs favourite walls and trees. Being the IC of the NCDCC contingent, I turned to glance at my cadet mates for the last time in a squad. Before facing the front, Ainah and I pinky promised to not tear at all.

Our Passing Out Parade was held at the hall and I had to clench my fist damn tightly to control my emotions. During the two mini rehearsals, I constantly assured myself “It’s not the last time”.
Literally in a blink of an eye (ok la i closed my eyes for 10 seconds at least to prepare myself mentally), PC commanded “Hormat kehadapan, HORMAT” for arrival of Mr Gan.

Faizal, Ainah, Chye Yeun, Zhi Yao received awards for outstanding contributions and as they marched down one by one, I smiled widely to them, and they returned it proudly :)
Mr Gan gave his speech which was compressed in his version of "Hare and Turtle” story which made me reflect on my sec 2-3 days. Then a sudden flash of me whining to my mum on how lame uniform groups are when I was forced to put it as my first choice. No regrets, phew!

So finally, I took my last deep breath. and I shouted it, *left right left* “POP!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Yes, I was hesitant to throw my beret up in the air, afraid that I would not have the accuracy to catch my pride. I held in beret still on my head with both hands, it just didn’t want to come off, you know?

It wasn’t hard to differentiate my beret from the rest :) If you get it.

We were greeted by our children with hugs, cards, and huge posters. Yes, it was unexpected. If you thought they were sweet, you thought wrong. We walked ourselves into sticky flour and dots were all over me. I didn’t dare to open my eyes. Even my phone decided to swim in the sink. That really shattered my heart. I know it’s just a device that can be bought, but hello, please be considerate and at least save my phone.

The cake was delicious :P I thanked them for all the efforts on the cards and collecting money because I was there last year and it was torturous. My SCLT behind was being cheeky but he taught me a lot in the short period of time he was in Jurong West. My cadets are lucky to have him from the moment they take over the unit.

Ofcourse I took pictures with my friends from other cca. I didn’t get to use my phone camera much. *sigh* I even wasted my efforts in bringing my polaroid. *STANDING OVATION FOR SUZANA* Ps; this chiobu on my left who calls me “handsome” every time, really thinks he’s some hot stuff. hahah

I wanted to finish this bottle of water as I needed space in my bag to fit in my full uniform. Mission accomplished.

I didn’t check the time nor my phone (because it was missing) and my ideas were put to waste. Everything didn’t go according to MY PLAN. It wasn’t me who was supposed to be receiving the flour. One fine day, someone will do my job for me. HAHA.

Those heartfelt letters were adorable and funny and they can finally tease me. But what really snapped me was when a cadet came to me and asked innocently “ASM, when will you be coming back?”

This does not mark the end of my journey in NCDCC.

Hopefully, I’ll be back.

Monday came to soon
It’s literature and read fest week! Lit students had to present something- duh!
And the topic we were given was to convince the school that Shakespeare had impacted our english. Btw, did you know that William Shakespeare had a daughter named Susanna? FUHHH thats me :P
Oh, our Precision Drill Squad training just started today and I'm deeply thankful to whoever allowed PT Kit for our attire. Ok I forgot that we had a focus test on malay composition and had to rush to cca afterwards. I have a memory span of a silverfish. HAHA YOU KNOW WHY SILVERFISH? COS WE OWN THIS SILVERFISH IN THE CD ROOM & ONLY VISIT IT EVERYTIME WE REDECORATE THE ROOM.

Class time- Chinese New Year mini celebration
Fortunately, other than the already interesting activities instead of Solo Reflection, powerpoint presentation or NEQuiz, 4E2 had an amazing session of Prosperity Toss. If I’m not mistaken, they called it a lo hei? Basically, it’s a tradition where a set of raw ingredients inclusive of salmon, vegetables, nuts, crackers and sauce are tossed in the air. So when you are throwing the food in the air as high as you possible can, you are supposed to say out your entire year’s main wishes.

So while I was tossing with my classmates, I was all like,
“I toss veggies up in the air sometimes,
Sayin’ HEYYOO STUDYY HARDDD LO”

Afterwards, we were split into groups and was assigned to design for total defence day. A kind teacher landed Syahindah and I an umbrella yesterday. So I brought mine today and it didn’t rain.

ps; of my four years in jwss, I just got to know that school closes at 6 instead of 7pm on special occasions.

Snow in jurong west?
For the first time in my JWSS history, it snowed in class. It was white substances which were chalky and came in small balls. We inferred that this was a miracle as it was Viki’s birthday :D So yes, we called it snow. Distracting half of the class on left side and it landed on us. That awkward moment when you were playing around and dropped your chromatography paper into the beaker fully. Then everyone turns and witness. That second awkward moment when your teacher kept repeating “glue the top” and your friend and you, being the ghundu’s, glued everything except that. hahahahahahhaah. OK KONYOL. bye-bye.

Prata plus non-fat yogurt

How did I spent my time constructively today? Talk on the phone with neither one of us paying the bills, made prata, iron clothes, watch teevee, played "fly with me" on the piano, did alot of laundry, washed the dishes, ate blueberry yoghurt yay non-fat! Breathe in breathe out, I need something more. Living life, life in the fast lane, not that bad :} How cool would it be if we could attach a gun onto the umbrellas hook. Step one: Find a gun. Epic fail, step one also cant succeed.

Its raining at bedok

Im gonna post more on fascinating unique umbrellas that attracted my eye.
Ami got me that water base I craved 5 hours ago. How thankful and lucky I am to have such delightful Ami. We had dinner at Bedok Centre to eat mee goreng, cheese roti john and a mix of some other tasty treats. I know, of all places bedok. There were lots to eat, drink, talk, and we had a very jolly time. Satisfied enough. Well I love the rain and that umbrella too :]
