Purple Parade + Inclusive Carnival

When my final finals paper is tomorrow but school is not everything. Grades are not everything. It is all about time management and spreading happiness. What does the world need right now?

Even things like taking, editing and posting photos on instagram takes time and planning, what! HAHA a lot of effort has been put into our instagram and facebook (@puzzles.sg).

To the weekends where I get to spend the entire day walking and queuing till all the blood got so tired they stayed at my feet. The long wait wasn't torturous with the company I had.

And as teenagers, we can't recognize the importance of sleep thus we took our time and still cooked supper. Just in time for a 3 hour nap. Great. Good choices.

It's finally here. I'm still alive on the year I turn to that age where I have bee

n waiting for my entire teenage life. Not to go club, buy a cigarette nor to just taste adulthood, I am finally allowed to take up drivers license in 2015 YAY!!!!!! However, I am a Virgo so that means everyone else gets to go through it first and it drives me crazily excited to get my hands on the wheel.

But the true suzana wants to be in control of a ship like how she was with a kayak and a jetski equally as much as the strong friction on the hard ground.

On the flipside, I get to listen on my friend's positive and not so positive experiences which both comes with automatic tips and learning points.

And now I am weak again.

What happens when a first aider is injured? Where's my first aider?

We should really practice a "cool down" session because we always ALWAYS forget to stretch because we would be too eager to bathe and eat. This is unhealthy and despite the many aches and tears, I have not learnt to be disciplined. It hurts it hurts. How do I apply the kinesio tape on my shoulder?

Experiments

Hello everybody and I mean the walls of this blog. Being curious is part and parcel of life and that's one of the reasons why we experiment! While many are seen experimenting on girls, sports, fashion or cliques, I still enjoy being that little girl who didn't read instructions well and screwed up her chemistry practical test. Ah the 2013 wonders of heating, popping and crystallization.

We started off with our safety gears aka personal protection equipments! Gloves were essential to prevent them NH4 from stinking our skins.

So maybe thousands of other youths have done this and we're alittle outdated but yaaaa. Were you trapped in a toilet with the only means of escape for the smell is a tiny window? Ya I didnt think so either.

After the 15 minutes wait we scrubbed off the pungent smell and replaced it with soft shampoo and conditioner.

Adios amigos to full black hair. This was taken the night before where I got my haircut.

Ps; HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY TO THE THREE OF US yay.

CAT1 sucks

Other than the four hours of wait and annoying sound alarming us about the lightning, we finally got in the water!!!! Okay actually water plus oil plus leaves plus rocks plus my friend frog.

We expected more to come but they backed out due to the weather forecast which predicted lightning for the whole day. I guess the ones who took the risk didn't regret it. Compared to the rest, they are halfway through their 3 star course or soon-to-be 1 star coaches and I'm just trying to rescue people properly. How do you even flip a kayak with your arm strength? The waves got bigger when we were paddling back but as the saying goes, "A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor". This is a quote I shared with my Oscar cadets and I hope it stays with them like how it stays with me.

Then it dawned on me, I feel daunted by the prospect of living life with a false success

Should I buy urban skates or a climbing set? Should I save raya money or spend it on both? Should I (finally) touch work money and splurge? I enjoy the sweet adrenaline when I'm on the lofty rock wall. I didn't complete the 15m yesterday at kismis tower. Till we meet again. So many things going on that I did not even sign up for the kayak team which has two extremely physically challenging trainings per week. And there's an adventure camp coming up on September and I deeply want to go for it as well as Fire fighting course. I just hope they don't clash! please. please.

Btw, the video above was only a wall level 5B+. It was the first Lithan vs Suzana challenge also known as our warm up. This was in early March this year.

Family.

If you think Im a retard, I’d like to introduce to you my family.

Who says you can’t snap pictures..

While rushing to find a seat,

While our parents shop and we were ordered to take a proper photo,

While teaching Farhan the art of mastering “that suzana face”, he’s a good student hahaah.

While our parents are informing us of the plans and timings for the day,

btw, I was teaching her the face to use when you want something at the bottom left photo.

While exploring unknown places,

While surviving on a long road trip,

While all the adults were gone and we had a hotel room to ourselves,

While waiting for free food,

“I want to be in the picture leh!"

Or trying to get the “perfect raya family photo”,

When we saw a friendly creature,

When we got the apartment to ourselves

After pleasing an adult to get us all ice cream,

When I tell them a damn lame joke,

Or as simple as sleep overs.

We grew up this way. And still growing. Eh, we think we powerpuff family okay.

This 3 ladies are the main Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup.

There’s also the boy version of them which are the 3 bros.

We have mojojojojo, princess morbucks and him.

And I just got to realise that I have neglected them this holiday.

My first skool.

Whats better than learning through experiencing it yourself? Nothing!

I wasn’t really involved in the logistics for the first time. There were 3 activities: Games, Role play and Handcraft. The kindergarteners were so tiny I felt good. Hahahahah really mini. The most hyper one was Energetic Benedict. That’s what I called him. Though he got reprimanded byy his form teacher, I told him that it was fine to run around. We got comfortable with them till I just carried them as they were lazy bums. They’re actually intelligent but innocent. I tickled them individually (He zong, Peter and Balqis). I was caught off guard when they teamed up and started poking me everywhere. Dammit I had to control myself from squeezing their cheeks!

Pui Shang just turned 16! She didn’t mind this project and didnt use her birthday as an excuse. She really enjoyed herself getting bullied by the cute boy. What did I contribute? I brought the necessary items plus a prop for the play. Apparently it was crowded in the classroom and only half of us could stay. While the rest were playing with paint,

Education is a lifelong journey whose destination expands as you travel.

I unconsciously influenced this boy antil he shouted “Jan from January. HAHAHHAHA, Jan!”.

So yes, I came to school looking x100 times younger and people didn’t recognise me. Young and wild. Caught red handed

Last day of the Mid-year examinations and it’s my second time being a red little indian in school. I think I really can read people’s mind or really accurate insticts because I brought an empty sprayable water bottle. Just as I had expected, I got my hands on the picture below when some genius left his and my bag unattended. How konyol was I to almost drink it. Transferred it all into my water bottle, unseen and protected.

But...... I knew the moment he walked towards me, I was so dead. Aku melangkah seribu kerana hatiku berdegup-degup tak henti. It seems like 2 dyes were involved too. I was determined to not surrender to let them create an ice kacang. While peacefully reading a magazine in the classroom, BAM GUESS WHAT. My own weapon was held against me and I didn’t have a shield nor defender. Im not gonna go to details on what the process of cleaning up the poison from my eyes was but I ended up red, again. This time, they have upgraded from food colouring to some smelly liquid.

Sucha coincident how I wore the exact same red tshirt after getting watered. And I coulod blame it’s bad quality. Anyhoo, it’s only day 2 and I didn’t manage to do much. Have been running so much that I loss mass *applause*

NCDCC Day 2013 (12 April 2013)

Officially, this marks the last NCDCC DAY PARADE for me. It’s an honor to be in the Guard Of Honor (GOH Gold Unit) Contigent, once again. It was only possible

I’ve to a confession to make, I didn’t clip my collar. It’s was an obstacle! Jun Zhi and I were stretching our eyeballs out for Isa to have a trio-ASM photo for the last time. When with them, I instantly reflect on how unmotivated I am to do other things in life. Hahah as we live like an hour ride away (It’s considered far in Singapore), we don’t bother to meet up.

Hiroshiiiiii. This encik is a year faster than me as his school just started NCDCC and they used all the potential leaders. Yes, by observing just like that, I predict that his school would be lucky to have him. I didn’t get to snap with the rest like Alwany, Aaron.

OK so before you judge me, there are a majority of boys in NCDCC and all the girls that I know of are not here. But this one I have to say, is gayyyyy. He’s a thousand times hyper and energetic than me. If you find me talkative, oh you won’t survive with him. Ladies, if you’re looking for constant entertainment, here you go. HAHHA DAMN he was much smaller two years ago. I can’t seem to get hold of the photos we took but finally I’ve got one. balabalabalabala *does the finger shake thing*

Oh my ear-piercing lovelies. Not all was in as everyone was scattered, running against time.

The number ones featuring my ex ma’am. It’s weird how I still call her that when she no longer is the overall in charge. Beside me is my CLT Casey who was my senior in my lower sec days. Hmm, she’s back because she loves us, right? Anyway, it sucks every toilet break time/ changing time as Im like an awkward turtle.

Believe it or not, this is the Sir who trained me in my Senior-Non-Commisioner-Course (SNCO). He is shorter than me. It is a big deal even until now because he tries to bully everyone but he has to look up (literally) to them. Ahhh, I miss NEKRA.

This is my only photo with Zhi yao! He is secretly noisy but not chatty. Im not sure how to put it, but he is my savior for a lot of times I’m alone. hahhahah ok thanks ah suzy. He’s the only non-aqua in the group of aquas.

The best people who were carrying my stuff around, especially Selly. So they “choaped” the toilet and laid out my number 4 uniform. From head gear change to garters. They are the most patient. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t force them to do it. After marching out, we were only given 5 minutes to change for our Precision Drill Squad performance which had a really unexpected positive feedback from other school’s cadets’ tweets.

Jurong west cadets who attended (except for Darren and Kenneth) It was honestly torturous to get everyone together as we had our different contingents to attend to. So this was the closest.

My inspiring seniors who I looked up to since my first year. I address them as ma’ams now. Im surrounded by lovely people.

Our VP had to make a huge round as Jurong West received both the awards! Sustained and UOPA Gold. *sigh of relief!* We’ve been constantly reminded for a whole year on how all 5 UGs have been consistent in getting Gold. Honestly, I think that we panicked too much.
Some came to support us, and we sort of neglected them. But yes, Im sure they enjoyed the PDS performance.

After marching out, we were only given 5 minutes to change for our Precision Drill Squad performance which had a really unexpected positive feedback from other school’s cadets’ tweets.
