Friday, December 23, 2016 @ 2:38 PMTrust Ipoh
1) Trust to take care of one another
Because we all have weaknesses, it is critical for everyone to look out for everyone. Pairing/ forced partnering wasn't necessary because it was natural to assist as a group. When people are initiative, there's no need for delegation. Some planned the activities, timetable, packing list, emergency contact, some drove, navigated, learnt how to use the aux cable, played music, some sacrificed portable chargers, some bought data for everyone to share, some paid for petrol and tolls, some brought games, some took videos and pictures, some carried the groceries for everyone, some were timekeepers, some took care of safety.
2) Trust for respect
About 4 years ago, I swore that I would never bathe if the bathroom door's broken. I broke that swore in this trip. It was comfortable because of the respect that we have for the preferences of one another such as sleeping time, food, fear, inability to gamble (HAHA), gambling without money (HAHAHA).
3) Trust to be punctual
Not sure if it's because we are all from Uniform groups where time is highly valued. The right balance between leisure and quick movement was met and it is the first time on a trip where we had situations under control very well.
No matter what activity we did, from the paid adventures like caving, water rafting, museum, laser tag to unpaid adventures like trips on the road, navigation, food hunt, grocery shopping, cards, long bus rides, pit stops, chilling in hotel rooms, they were all good.
When there's no judgement and all acceptance, its cool.
Spending/ person:
2 way coach $53.50
White water rafting + Caving $70
Hotel (3D 2N) $35
Trick Eye Museum Msia $4
Taxi $2
Car Rental $20
Petrol + Toll + Parking $5

Wednesday, December 2, 2015 @ 4:58 PMWhen was the last time you did something crazy for the first time?
As I seek to try new things and test my limits in different situations, never had a 50km hike stopped by my mind. Equipment wise, I was well prepared. Mentally wise, I had came to a realization that this is the longest route that I will be taking since I could ever walk. There were harsher terrains, undesirable weathers and heavier loads on my back and waist. But this one, I didn't know if I could last above 40km. But I did. How can marathoners even run??I took the same amount of time walking the last 10kilometers as my first 25. Well, it seemed like the route was never going to end. My buddy was the best person to hike with, encouraging me through stories, endless jokes that I couldn't resist from aching my invisible abs and understanding my limits. With or without blasting music, we moved forward and never turned back (after all the effort). The pain in my breaking feet was so overwhelming that my knee wound was easily forgotten. Mind over body is real. It is amazing and your body will get double the next day. Saturday, November 14, 2015 @ 3:28 AMInjured in a physical competition
I had a dilemmaAnd a really huge one It was pain vs suzana It's about what I want Honestly I dont give a damn If we couldn't make it But everyone was ready and brought their cam I knew I couldn't let it slip You see, they require two females If not we'd be disqualified So I couldn't just bail My balls automatically solidified If I were to describe to you It's like pouring alcohol on a flesh and lighting a match It's not burning nor is it cool But the worst is having a patch The patch sticks like a glue Its required before I could wear number 4 So too bad boo hoo The pressure hurts to the core What is this pressure? Is it the pain of the exposed flesh? Or is it the disappointed faces of those who were so sure? We went through the sequence and planned to dash ( Yea, I was torturing myself with a bash) They look at me limp "are you okay?" I laughed uncontrollably like a pimp "A O K" Labels: #niner, Everyone was so enthu, Inhale love Exhale hate., literature, Mission accomplished, ncdcc, Outdoor love, You think you do but you have no idea. back to top? |

Thursday, October 8, 2015 @ 2:32 AMFlaming nights
This is my every night.
It is my first holiday being deprived of my mornings, afternoons and evening. All I'm left with is the night and if I could, I would've chosen climbing. Even if it was for a few hours and travelling was inconvenient to everyone, we did it. They complain that my schedule sucks but we still hang out till the wee hours. Sleep is not the problem. The problem is the 8-10am battle with my body to stay still and sit straight.
I could not come close to imagining me hanging out in town to photograph or climb to my limits or join my friends drinking.
Not once did we "waste" the little time we had with each other to study. We all lived in different areas and if we were ready to travel far, it definitely wouldn't be to study. That's when our grades hit us.

Saturday, August 15, 2015 @ 11:40 AMThat butt tho
When you want to have adventures with two different groups and your finals is nearing, you gotta choose one. Unless..... You introduce them to one another and everyone makes a new friend and I can spend time with both groups. Brilliant or brilliant? I have to say I'm impressed that these two bold ladies pushed themselves on the boulder gym and the rock wall. Finally I shared my love to more friends yessss.

Monday, June 1, 2015 @ 12:01 AMWe only have one body
The part where every excited soul is given only one body is driving me crazy. I separate these activities into different categories where I consider the following: Compulsory, Optional, Stress Relief, Education, Family, Friends, Self reward, Positive, Negative, Energy level. For example, ODAC vs Promotional ceremony vs Unit annual camp. ODAC is physical training and they needed helpers but Im not in the main committee so I'm not obliged to help all the time eventhough they are my friends; promotional ceremony is stress free as there is no preparation or much things to do and to reward myself for going to school and enduring; unit annual camp is annual hah and definitely stressful, education of juniors and friends. ODAC: compulsory, extremely high energy, stress relief. PC: compulsory, low energy, stress relief, self reward. UC: optional, extremely high energy, positive, education. = life is a hard decision and at times you have to make decisions, and I took up the CLT course so I have to do my "job" and commit to what I signed up for. Or you can run away by saying "I got no choice what", we all have choices. Saturday, February 14, 2015 @ 11:52 PMYEAR 1 ALMOST COMPLETE
Last exam tomorrow and then the fun begins!Things to accomplish this school break: Earn money Attend abseiling L1 course Learn to cook proper dishes Adventure with ODAC mates Climb like mad Kayak Adventure Training Camps at Ubin Uniform duties Other than jotting emotions and new experiences and converting it into words, I want to record the same memories through videos. And well..... My Sony Xperia Z3 Compact has actually been with me for about 5 months now and I'm learning more about it. It's a smaller version than the original one which is convenient enough for me to fit into my back pockets. And the funny thing is that it never occurred to me to do any research because when my previous phone cracked, my dad accompanied and sponsored me to purchase a new one on the day itself heheheheeh. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who needs that sudden emergency therapy. To the point where my school project required video making and my group was working on mobile devices. That's when I knew so much more. Well, I only bought it because of the waterproof function but there was more that I had not discovered. Sunday, September 7, 2014 @ 12:45 AMSore
I have sore arms and back for three straight days. Nevertheless, I returned and geared up. :) More than satisfied with the accomplishments which I myself didn't expect to get and how much I could teach and how I gained people more than twice my mass' trust. HEHHEHEHE. Sadly, I didn't managed to conquer the 25m wall which a small child could. And that my muscle ached halfway while leading the last wall and I didn't finish it. Thus Lithan had to help complete 4 more rings. Kid on a malicious crack YAY. I made a lot of painful noises, whining, complaining and screaming for directions when I'm about to drop, but thank god Keith wasnt easily vexed and could endure belaying me, phew. The last 2 metres forced us to use the starfish method which was extremely torturous to my arms! It scraped a lot of my senior's tees and harness but I came down clean.
